For group bookings of minimum 5 maximum 18 guests, Tugela River Lodge provides the ideal retreat from city bustle. With your booking, you have sole access to all 4 thatch cottages and the central entertainment area. Each sleeps 4, has its own ablutions, fireplace and sundeck.
We have installed some extra lighting, with a few plugs available for charging cellphones. It is supplied by generator. It comes on between dusk and switches off automatically at 21h30.
The central entertainment area consists of a kitchen, shower, loo, large lounge area, large eating area and downstairs double bedroom. It also has two open plan mezzanine levels, both with two single beds on each level. There are 3 more thatch cottages each sleeping 4.
The kitchen has gas oven and deepfreeze and is fully stocked with crockery, pots, cutlery, etc. To enhance the natural bush feeling there is no electricity. Lighting is solar and hot water is provided.
The lodge is 200m away from the Hideaway which sleeps 6 and can be booked together in order to accommodate groups of 24.
