The Hideaway's Lounge area
Accomodation is provided in stone and thatch cottages with views,sundecks, showers and fireplaces. Comfortable duvets, linen and beds are provided. You will just have to bring towels.
As we are on a game farm, there are plenty of walks, mountain bike and 4x4 trails for the serious enthusiast. The river provides numerous activities which include fishing for yellow fish, canoeing, tubing and swimming. A canoe is provided for your use as well as tubes for the river.
There is a 2ha area in front of the lodge in which you can use quadbikes freely. If you wish to bring quads please make a request by e-mail before booking.
Bird enthusiasts will enjoy the large variety of bush and water birds, as well as peace and tranquillity. Water skiers, birders, game lovers and horse riders make use of Spionkop Dam and Nature Reserve next door to us.
The Lodge is also only 20 minutes drive away from the Central Drakensberg resorts with golf courses, hikes, falconry, candle factory, rugfactory and hotels offering an optional outing.
The lodges are serviced by Juliette and her brother Bhekhi. Juliette will wash your dishes and make your beds in the morning.
